Updates and corrections

Claude changes monthly. Anything in the guide that has gone stale is listed here, newest first, and the companion pages are updated at the same time. If you spot something before I do, the address at the bottom of this page works.

September 2026 — first edition published

Everything in the guide was checked against Anthropic's published documentation during the first two weeks of September 2026. In beta at the time of writing: Dispatch, plugin support in Cowork, and Cowork on mobile.

Known contradictions between Anthropic's own pages at publication, all reported in the text rather than resolved silently:

• Which plans include Skills — the help centre says Free upward, the developer docs say Pro and above.
• Whether Cowork projects sync between your devices, and whether archiving one deletes it.
• Whether the skill recorder runs on Windows — the help centre says no, the changelog carries a Windows bug fix for it.
• Whether role prompting is recommended — the blog says it is often unnecessary, the docs still teach it.
• Whether automatic context summarising counts against your usage limit.
• Whether Free accounts get Projects at all.

The fastest way to find out something has changed before this page catches up is Anthropic's own release notes, in the Claude help centre. Checking it monthly takes two minutes.
